Willamette Valley, Oregon

This 2019 Chardonnay offering is from a small vineyard in the Northern Willamette Valley. The harvest came in very clean with wonderful flavors. This is a style that focuses on letting the true character of the Chardonnay grape take center stage without the new oak seasoning. The juice was fermented cold in neutral French oak barrels, then underwent a partial malolactic fermentation giving the wine its beautiful mid-palate. The barrels were stirred for the first 6 months then settled and aged Sur Lie for 8 months. The bright aromas of apple and pear come through on the nose while on the palate, the very slight creamy texture and bright tangerine and apple flavors blend well with the oak to create a crisp well balanced finish.
